SAMBA, Mar 8: In view of the smooth conduct of the forth coming Lok Sabha Election, District Development Commissioner -cum- District Election officer Samba R K Varma today convened a meeting with bankers of Samba district in order to sensitize them about ECI directives.
DDC impressed upon the officers representing banks for facilitation in opening bank account by candidates and issuing cheque books. He also exhorted upon the bank officers to send report regarding any suspicious transaction report exceeding Rs 10 lakh and procedure to be followed for ATM Vans as per guidelines.
Meanwhile, it was informed that one 24×7 complaint cell has been constituted in the district.
Among others the meeting was attended by the Addl. Deputy Commissioner, Inderjeet Bhagat, Assistant Commissioner (Rev.) M Y Malik and officers of J&K Bank, State Bank of India, Grameen Bank, Punjab National Bank and other district officers are also present in the meeting.
