JAMMU, May 11: In the 1st 5s Hockey tournament hosted by MBS Hockey Club Simbal under the auspices of Hockey J&K, three matches were held in the ongoing championship.
In the opening day match, featuring Hiranagar Hockey Club and Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Hockey Club Poonch, ended with a thrilling victory for BSB Poonch, securing a 3-1 win. Rajinder Singh (Raju) was the chief guest while Parvinder Singh was the guest of honour along with SDPO RS Pura.
On the 2nd day of the tournament, the first match was played between MBS Hockey Club and Lachipur Kathua which was won by MBS by 8-2. Chief Guest of this match was Bupinder Singh (SHO Miran Sahib).
In another match between Khalsa Warriors Gole Gujral & MRS Club which was won by Khalsa Warriors by 7-0. The event was attended by members of Hockey J&K including Rajinder Singh (Former President Hockey India) , G.S Bakshi , Rajinder Koul( Sr Vice President Hockey J&k) , Daljeet Singh (Executive Member Hockey J&K) , Ishan Sharma (Treasurer Hockey J&K), Tejinder Singh (Resident Secy Hockey J&K) and Supinder Deep Singh Bakshi (General Secretary Hockey J&K).
The technical panel, led by Iqbal Singh including Daljeet Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Karanveer Singh, Sukhpreet Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Gursimran Singh and Samiksha Kumari, ensured the smooth conduct of the tournament.
