JAMMU, May 13: MBS Hockey Club Simbal clinched the 1st 5s Hockey tournament by defeating BSB Hockey Club Poonch.
On the final day of the 1st 5s Hockey tournament, hosted by MBS Hockey Club Simbal under the auspices of Hockey J&K, the match was played between MBS Hockey Club & BSB Hockey Club Poonch which was won by MBS by 8-4.
The chief guest of this final match was Dr Vinod Kumar, SSP Jammu whereas Rajinder Singh (former President) Hockey India was the guest of honour.
Among the notable attendees were SP Headquarters Irshad Hussain Rathar, Parvinder Singh Happy, Rajinder Singh Raju Mehta, Bhupinder Singh (Former Treasurer Kho-Kho Federation of India), SDPO RS Pura, SHO Miran Sahib, Rajinder Singh Nathu (President MBS Hockey Club), Gurmeet Singh, Harmeet Singh, Gurkirat Singh, Ajmeet Singh, Members & office Bearers of Hockey J&K, Members of Sikh Naujawan Sabha and a large gathering of supporters.
Jasprit Singh Jimmy was awarded as man of the match. The winning team was awarded a prize amount of Rs 10,000 & runner-ups were given Rs 5000. The technical panel, led by Iqbal Singh and including Daljeet Singh Bhatia, Gurmeet Singh and Samiksha Kumari, ensured the smooth conduct of the tournament.
