KATHUA, May 18: Department of Youth Services and Sports Kathua organized Inter-School Zonal Level Tournament U/14 and U/17 under the direction of District Youth Services & Sports Officer Kathua, Sunil Sambyal under the overall supervision of Zonal Physical Officer, Suchrita Mehta and Field Staff of Zone Kathua.
Venue for the event was Govt Boys Hr. Sec. School and Sports Stadium Kathua for U/14 and U/17 Boys and Girls for sports like Table Tennis, Badminton, Yoga and Football in which about 318 participants took part.
In Badminton U/17 Girls, Army Public School Janglote emerged as winner and runner up was Kids Island Kathua; in Table Tennis U/14 Boys, winner was Army Public School Janglote and runner up was DAV School Lachipur; in Table Tennis U/17 Boys, winner was Army Public School Janglote and runner up was Govt Boys Hr Sec School, Kathua; in Table Tennis U/17 Girls, winner was Army Public School Janglote and runner up was Govt Girls Hr Sec School Kathua; in Football Trial (Boys) U/14 and U/17 about 75 students participated.
In Yoga U/14 and U/17 boys and girls also participated in Yoga activity.
