JWAM protests against PDD, PHE Deptt

JAMMU, Mar 12: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) held a protest against PDD and PHE Department for irregular power and water supply.
The activists of JWAM led by its president Sunil Dimple and residents of various areas of West Assembly constituency raised slogans against the PDD, PHE department and concerned Ministers.
The protestors also burnt the effigy of the PDD and PHE department Ministers to express their anguish over irregular power and water supply.
Addressing the protestors, Sunil Dimple said that the people of Jammu especially resident of West assembly constituency are facing manifold problems due to irregular power and water supply for the past five days.
“Coalition Government is totally on the ventilator. People are facing problems due to irregular drinking water and power supply”, he added.
He said that every day the transformers of the Janipur receiving grid station get damaged and the whole city supply remains off and the entire Jammu city faces 12 to 15 hours long duration power cuts.
He added that JWAM will intensify protest if Government failed to redress their demands including regular water and power supply at the earliest.
Dimple asked the Chief Minister to order for the installation of new receiving station of 50 MVA at Janipur to overcome the curtailment of power.
