JAMMU, May 19: Kashyap Cricket Club (KCC) lifted KPL Veteran Cup-17 by defeating Sharda Cricket Club (SCC) in the final match played at KC Sports Club Ground, here today.
Batting first, KCC posted a huge total of 193 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Amit Raina, Sunny Bhan, Rajinder and Rohan Punjabi made 46, 39, 38 and 32 runs, respectively. From the bowling side, Viraj was the most successful bowler with two wickets.
In reply, SCC couldn’t chase the target and managed to score only 153 for the loss of nine wickets. Anil Raina scored 45 runs. From bowling side, Rohit Raina bagged three wickets while Saksham Koul took two wickets.
Sunny Bhan was declared as Man of the Match, Provin Bhat as Man of the Series & Best Batsman while Dileep Dhar was declared as Best Bowler and Saksham Koul as Emerging Player of the Tournament.
The Tournament was organized by Sanjeev Kant Sharma, Anil Ambardar and Sanjay Koul in association with KC Sports Club Jammu. The occasion was graced by Kamlesh Pandita (District & Sessions Judge) and by PN Tickoo (SP) as guests.
