KATHUA, May 23: Bharat Sports Club Bani organized a quiz contest at Chandyar under the title ‘Padhega India Tabhi To Badhega India’ and distributed notebooks and certificates to all the participating students.
The contest was organized in Panchayat Koti Chandiyar and a total of 174 children from four schools including High School Chandyar, Koti, Bagh, Dhanoi, participated in it. Aqib Alam won the first place, Vishal Kumar secured second place while Rabia Ansar won the third place in the contest.
Former teacher Gauri Shankar was the chief guest on the occasion while Sanjay Kumar, Ram Singh Mathur, social worker Javed Ahmed and Dr Rameshwar Singh were also present.
Later, Bharat Sports Club in collaboration with NHPC distributed notebooks and certificates to all the students. Besides, first, second and third place winners were awarded medals, and all 174 participants were also distributed food items.
Speaking on the occasion, the Club president Hafeez Qureshi said that education is one of the basic needs of every human being irrespective of its gender or financial condition. He said education is the jewel that adorns the character of a person. Qureshi added that the Club will continue to organize such programs in the coming time.
