SRINAGAR, June 29: Curfew and strikes across the valley played spoilsport by forcing the organizers to postpone both the Kashmir Premier League (KPL) matches scheduled for the day, here today.
A match between Srinagar Sherdils and Bandipora Basons was scheduled to be played at Bandipora, while Srinagar Shah Jahans were to lock horns with Kupwara Knights at Delhi Public School (DPS) in Srinagar today.
“The main organizers of the event, the Indian Army along with the Department of Youth Services and Sports and J&K State Sports Council, have decided to postpone both the matches scheduled for the day because of the prevailing situation”, said Manzoor Dar, one of the members of technical committee.
