Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan

Sir,
Much needs to be done in our rural and semi urban schools in respect of making the  above scheme of universalization of education a real success. Not only is the quality  of the mid – day meal served in such schools needed to be improved but the basic  requirements of proper urinals and drinking water facilities need to be given priority.
This state is among those states of the country which can boast of good standard of  education but more attention is required to be given to the primary and the upper  primary schools. The schools are nowadays lacking in two most important aspects of the  personality development of the children , that of sports facilities and health check up. The  management of schools must be properly instructed and enabled to take action in these areas and allied matters. Private schools should get affiliation and recognition certificates only when proper playing facilities are provided to the students.
Yours etc…..
