DODA, June 2: Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh embarked on a site visit to the Changa-Bhal Padri road, approximately 23 kilometers from Gandoh Headquarters.
The aim of the site inspection was to tak stock of the progress of the road construction and facilitate an amicable settlement of pending issues concerning the project.
It was informed that construction on 6 kilometer stretch of the road is underway, with an additional 5.5 kilometers yet to commence. The total length of the road spans 11.50 kilometers.
During the inspection, the DC was accompanied by Xen PWD (R&B) Ashwani Mehngi, Tehsildar Gandoh Muneeb Umar, AEE PWD Gurjeet Singh, and JE Sajad Mir.
After a thorough inspection of the construction site, the DC asked Engineers to maintain quality standards and promptly resolve bottlenecks, if any, hindering the project.
The DC Doda emphasized the importance of timely completion and quality workmanship in enhancing connectivity and facilitating the socio-economic development of the area.
Meanwhile, during the tour, DC Doda, Harvinder Singh, visited the Administrative Block of SDM Gandoh, conducting a thorough review of administrative processes and engaging with officers to understand the challenges in delivering public services effectively.
DC also inspected the SDH Gandoh, closely monitoring the attendance of medical personnel and the availability of essential medicines for patients, underscoring the importance of healthcare accessibility.
DC Doda inspected Jan Aushadi Kendra OPD immunization wards and vaccination storages. He also visited PHC Gandoh and Tehsil Office Gandoh, overseeing their operations and ensuring their effective functionality.
He asked for resurfacing of walls cracked due to earthquake, construction of govt. quarters, issuing roasters for convenience of general public.
The emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of service delivery and urged officers to continue working diligently for the welfare of the community.
