BFCC celebrates World Bicycle Day

KATHUA, June 3: Bicycle for Change Club (BFCC) celebrated World Bicycle Day 2024 with great enthusiasm here today featuring participation of more than 50 students from local schools.
Commander Amit Khajuria highlighted the club’s commitment to this year’s theme, “Bicycle for Good Health, Equity, and Sustainability.”
During the press briefing, the multifaceted benefits of cycling were discussed, particularly its role in addressing social issues like drug abuse and environmental pollution. Khajuria elaborated on how cycling helps children manage stress, achieve good health, and improve their concentration and academic performance.
Maninder Paul also spoke at the event, emphasizing the critical role of cycling in environmental conservation. He underscored the necessity of adopting cycling to combat pollution and promote a greener, healthier planet. The celebration saw active involvement from BFCC members, including Sunil, Deep, Narender, Sachin, Rahul, Ajay, Arun, Aarush, Prakhar, and many others. Their efforts ensured the event was both educational and enjoyable for all attendees.
World Bicycle Day 2024 in Kathua was not just a celebration, but a significant step towards promoting sustainable transportation and fostering a culture of cycling among the youth.
