RAJOURI, Mar 18: A young woman hailing from Budhal area committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance this afternoon.
A police spokesman said that 25-year-old Ritu Devi, wife of Yash Pal, resident of Draman village in Budhal became serious after she consumed some poisonous stuff at her residence. She was rushed to Kotranka hospital where doctors conducted preliminary treatment and referred her to District Hospital Rajouri. As her condition deteriorated, she died in Rajouri hospital this afternoon.
The reason behind this extreme step could not be ascertained immediately. The police took cognizance of the case. After postmortem, body was handed over to the family.
