Srinagar, Mar 19: A 9-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a man here today.
Sources said a 29-year-old man allegedly raped a minor girl in Bemina area of Srinagar today. The man has been identified as Zaid Aslam Khan, a resident of Hamdania Colony Bemina.
Police have registered a case (FIR number 39/2014 under Section 376) on a complaint from the family of the victim and the accused has been arrested. Sources said that the medical examination of the victim has confirmed rape.
