JAMMU, Mar 19: N.N. Vohra, Governor, released “Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma, The Man and His Music”, a pictorial volume on the well known music maestro, at a book release function held at Police Auditorium, Gulshan Ground here this evening.
On the occasion, “Antardhawani”, a biographical documentary on the life and works of Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma was also screened before a large and distinguished audience.
The Governor paid rich compliments to Pandit ji for making Santoor known and popular all over the world and observed that such eminence could have been achieved only by a person with such sustained dedication, perseverance and visionary ambition. Noting Pandit Ji’s virtues of head and heart the Governor also thanked him for his valuable contribution as a member of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board for the past several years.
Ina Puri, Editor, presented a review of the “Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma, The Man and His Music” at the function.
The welcome address was given by Shiv Kumar Gupta, Joint Director Tourism, Jammu.
Shantmanu, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, was present on the occasion.
