NC Women Wing launches door to door campaign

JAMMU, Mar 19: Women Wing of National Conference today took off door to door campaign in support of coalition candidate in Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary constituency.
A strong contingent of workers led by Provincial President Women Wing Vijaylaxmi Dutta interacted with housewives, professionals and students, who have attained the age of franchise, of Mohalla Dalpatian and its adjoining areas in the old city and apprised them about the initiatives taken by Omar Abdullah led Government for literacy among women, their empowerment and economic emancipation through specially devised schemes.
Mrs Dutta highlighted the crucial role of women in strengthening democracy and said that by exercise their right to vote they can further contribute in its growth.
She also dwelt upon the achievements of the Government during the past over five years and said this odyssey will continue with the active support of people. She sought a decisive and massive vote for National Conference-Congress alliance candidate, saying this will be support to the party that has always stood by the people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, irrespective of their regional or religious affiliations.
Senior party activists Manveer Kour, Uma Devi, Saroj Kumar, Karuna and Aghya Devi also joined Mrs Dutta in her door to door campaign.
