Badminton tourney organized by JKP concludes

JAMMU, June 9: A two-day long Badminton tournament organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Police under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) concluded here today at J&K Police Badminton Hall in Jammu.
The tournament featured doubles matches for boys and girls under the age of 15 and aimed to promote a healthy and drug-free lifestyle among the youth, under the theme “Say No to Drugs & Yes to Beautiful Life.”
Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar was the chief guest at the concluding ceremony. He emphasized the importance of sports in fostering discipline, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle among the younger generation. Additional Director General of Police Jammu, Anand Jain who was guest of honour presented trophies and medals among the winners. The tournament saw spirited participation. Two boys won gold medals; two boys won silvers while four boys won bronze medals in the boy’s category. In the girls category; two girls won gold, two silver while four girls won bronze medals.
The event concluded with a message of encouragement for all participants to continue engaging in sports and maintaining a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
