Mian Dido Welfare Committee holds function

JAMMU, June 10: On the occasion of Balidan Diwas, tribute were reverently offered to the revered warrior, Mian Dido, during a programme held here at Mian Dido Chowk, Ambhalla, today.
A large gathering, comprising people from diverse backgrounds, congregated at Ambphalla Chowk to pay tribute to Mian Dido and commemorate his valorous deeds.
Prominent personalities including Yudhvir Sethi, J&K BJP vice president, senior BJP leader Zorawar Singh, members of Mian Dido Welfare Committee, Sumant Singh Jamwal, Tanantar Singh, Abha Jamwal, Mangal Singh, Rakesh Singh Jamwal and Rajinder Singh Gilli, Raman Sharma president of Amphalla Mandal BJP, and Nidhi Magotra, former corporator, were among the dignitaries who paid homage to the iconic Dogra hero at his memorial in Amphalla.
Speaking on the occasion, Yudhvir Sethi emphasized the paramount importance of preserving and promoting the rich Dogra culture and heritage, emphasizing that these values epitomize the essence of love, compassion, and inclusiveness. “We are the custodians of a glorious legacy, bestowed upon us by warriors like Mian Dido, whose exemplary actions exemplify their profound love for humanity even in the face of adversity,” remarked Sethi, while paying homage to the great Dogra warrior.
Zorawar Singh Jamwal lauded the life of Mian Dido as a testament to selfless service and sacrifice, which continues to resonate with the ethos of Jammu. He highlighted Jammu’s rich history of nurturing warriors and social reformers, who have played pivotal roles in safeguarding the dignity and honour of the people.
Samant Singh Jamwal also underscored the profound impact of Mian Dido’s exemplary life on shaping the ethos of Jammu, serving as an inspiration for future generations to uphold the values of courage, resilience, and compassion.
