DODA, Mar 21: A newly born female baby was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Barbhagi nallah here.
A police spokesman said that, some passerby informed the police station Doda that a newly born female baby has been abandoned in the Barbhagi nallah.
Police rushed to the spot and shifted the female baby to district hospital Doda, where she failed to respond to the treatment and breather her last.
On some reliable information, police traced the un-married mother of the baby and arrested her. The parents of the un-married woman were also arrested for abandoning the female baby, which led to the death of the infant.
The woman (mother of the infant) was released on some medical grounds, whereas her parents are in the police custody for killing the infant.
A case under FIR number 48/14 under Section has been registered at police station Doda and investigation started.
