UDHAMPUR, June 29: Prominent citizens from Udhampur city during meeting with Deputy Commissioner, Pandurang K. Pole took up several issues of public importance here today.
The delegation during meeting appreciated the efforts of DC for imposing fresh restrictions on the people residing on both sides of Devika river and throwing garbage, human excreta and dirty drain water into the holy river. They also urged the DC to take initiates for ensuring cleanliness in the city.
The locals further urged the DC to issue direction to the PDD for the improvement of power supply in the town as with it water supply has also been affected. They also requested the DC to pay surprise visit to district hospital for improving functioning because most of the doctors and other staff members skip duty during night and late hours. The DC assured the delegation to take care of their demands.
