PCC Garhi clinches Palthyar Premier League-2024 title

UDHAMPUR, June 24: Palthyar Cricket Club Garhi (PCCG) emerged victorious against Vijay Cricket Club Mageni by 6 wickets in the final match of Palthyar Premier League-2024 here today.
The tournament on the theme “Aao Yaad Karein Desh Ke Shaheedon Ko” & “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan” was organized by the Palthyar Nehru Youth Club Garhi, Udhampur.  Sunil Verma, President National Conference, Udhampur district was the chief guest on the final day.
Earlier, Vijay Cricket Club Mageni won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 103/7 in 15 overs, with Bhanu contributing 34 runs and Ritesh 23 runs. In reply, Palthyar Cricket Club Garhi achieved the target in 12 overs by the loss of only 4 wickets.  Deepak Kotwal scored (33 runs), Arun (27 runs), and Anmol (26 runs).
Anmol was named the Man of the Match for his all-round performance, scoring 26 runs and taking 1 wicket. Deepak Kotwal was awarded the Man of the Tournament for his outstanding contribution of 136 runs throughout the series.
Sunil Verma congratulated the winning team and appreciated the efforts of all participating teams for showcasing their sportsmanship and dedication.  Senior NC youth leader Akash Verma, retired principal Amar Nath, Block President Zib Thathi block NC and Mohd Sadeeq were also present.
