POONCH, Mat 25: With an aim to accomplish the mission of J&K Police for channelizing the energy of youth and providing platform to the talented youth of the State, Range Police Headquarter Rajouri today organized Chhoona Hai Aasman- Season-IV talent hunt show at Conference Hall, Gujjar & Bakerwal Hostel, here today.
The artists selected during District level competition both at Poonch and Rajouri districts today contested for the Range Level Competition in which 16 artists hailing from twin border districts of the Range participated.
This year the contest was organized for the event of solo singing only.
DIG Rajouri-Poonch Range, A K Atri, was the chief guest on the occasion, while Sajad Ahmed Khan, DDC Poonch was guest of honour.
Among those present on the occasion were Pankaj Roy, OC GREF; Prof M H Shah of Degree College Poonch; Principal Boys Higher Secondary School, Makhan Lal; K K Kapoor, Padamshree Shamboo Nath Khajuria; Advocate Sanjay Raina; CMO Poonch, Dr Mumtaz Ahmed Bhatti; Superintendent District Hospital, Niaz Ahmed Choudhary; Additional SP, Amit Gupta; DySP DAR, Khalid Amin; DySP Hqrs, Deepak Digra and DySP(Ops) Javaid Iqbal Naaz and large number of audiences drawn from all walks of life hailing from both the districts besides students of Degree college / HSS Poonch.
Pardeep Khanna anchored the programme.
Out of total 16 participants, 4 participants were selected for Zonal level competition to be organized by ZPHQ Jammu from where the winner will have opportunity to participate at the State Level.
In the senior male category, Rameez Rather of Poonch bagged first position, while in senior female category, Sangeeta Devi of Rajouri secured 1st position.
In junior male category, Khushal Kumar of Rajouri secured 1st position, while in junior female category, Saika Kouser of Poonch claimed 1st position.
The artists mesmerized the full packed conference hall with their scintillating performance.
Mr Atri while speaking on the occasion exhorted upon the youth to work hard and contribute positively in the overall development of the region. He said there is lot of talent in youth of both the districts and endeavour of J& K Police is to channelize their energy by providing platform to the budding artists and players.
