UDHAMPUR, Mar 27: Range Police Udhampur organized a cultural event “Chhoona Hai Aasman Season-4” at Udhampur Headquarters wherein participants from Udhampur and Reasi districts took part in various categories.
Simran and Mumtaz of District Udhampur were adjudged as 1st in junior and senior female categories respectively, while Master Sandeep Singh and Chaman Lehri of District Reasi were adjudged as 1st in junior and senior male categories respectively by a jury comprising of Prof Yogesh Sharma, HoD Music Department Govt Women Degree College Udhampur, Assistant Prof Santokh, HoD Music Department, Kuldeep Khajuria, Director Ramleela Club Reasi and noted singer Naveen Punjabi. Garib Dass, DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range was the chief guest, who while speaking on the occasion said that the Programme is to bridge the gap between Police and Public by organizing such Programmes.
“As a part of these concerted efforts of Jammu and Kashmir Police, this Range level Talent Hunt Competition “Chhoona Hai Aasman” will provide a platform for hidden and dormant talent available in the vast regions of the State especially rural areas,” expressed the DIG.
