BANDIPORA, July 6: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Shakeel ul Rehman today chaired a meeting at Mini Secretariat, here to review the progress, performance of credit-linked, employment generating schemes of various departments operational in the district.
The meeting discussed various measures to evaluate the progress and performance of credit linked schemes, especially in the Agriculture and allied sectors.
It was given out that 33673 beneficiaries are active on PM Kissan portal and land seeding of 29189 beneficiaries has been completed as on 5th of July 2024.
It was revealed that under KCC (crop), 33841 cases are active with 250.50 crore sanctioned loan amount and 4889 cases stand sanctioned under KCC (livestock).
The DC was apprised that 9552 persons have been provided employment under different employment generating schemes of various departments during FY-2023-24.
The meeting was informed that under PMEGP (KVIB), 540 cases amounting to 20.91 crores have been disbursed during FY 2023-24; under PMEGP (DIC), 252 cases amounting to 11.14 crore and under PMEGP (KVIC) 62 cases amounting to 3.09 crore have been sanctioned during FY-2023-24.
The meeting also discussed progress under Mumkin, Tejaswani, Spurring Entrepreneur, REGP (KVIB), PMFME, and other schemes.
Addressing the participants, the DC emphasized extensive awareness regarding credit linked schemes for maximum youth engagement and handholding of youth through different schemes.
He emphasized the importance of these schemes in promoting agricultural development and enhancing financial inclusion among farmers and entrepreneurs.
The DC directed the officers to ensure the effective implementation of Government initiatives and flagship schemes which play a pivotal role in supporting economic growth and enhancement of means of livelihood.
He also directed all concerned departments to conduct panchayat wise awareness camps on monthly basis to maximize the benefits to eligible beneficiaries. Strict instructions were also issued to concerned departments to ensure zero pendency in KCC.
The meeting was attended by CPO Mohammad Maqbool, GM DIC, CAO, DSHO, CAHO, LDM, ALC and other concerned.
