JAMMU, July 10: J&K Taekwondo Association held elections for its general body here today and elected Rajesh Pangotra as its president.
Anshuja Tak, the returning officer for the J&K Sports Council and Raj Kumar, the observer from the prestigious Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI) monitored the elections. The new governing body will head the J&K Taekwondo Association for the next four years. The elected body were Rajesh Pangotra elected as President, Nissar Hussain as senior vice president, Atta Khan as vice president (Kashmir), Dr Kanav Gupta as vice president (Jammu), Ramesh Chander Sharma as general secretary, Amit Badculia as Treasurer, Junaid Mayor Qasba as joint secretary (Kashmir) and Anuj Sharma as joint secretary (Jammu). The Executive Council members were Amit Kumar Badculia, Burhan-ud- din Khan, Taranpreet Kour, Fasil Ali, Manisha Sharma, Roohi Gupta and Bashir Ahmad Shiekh.
The commencement of the election proceedings was marked by an insightful speech from Vikas Gupta, the vice president. Divisional Sports Officer (DSO) J&K Sports Council, Baljinder Pal Singh attended the event as a distinguished guest, adding to its dignity and emphasizing its importance.
