Cong contesting polls on development plank: Chib

Suchetgarh, Mar 30: Former Minister and general secretary PCC R. S.  Chib addressed a series of  meetings in support of Madan Lal Sharma, Congress-NC alliance  candidate for Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary constituency.
While addressing these meetings Mr. Chib said that the Congress is  contesting the elections on development plank. He said that the ‘Coalition  Government’ in the State and the UPA-I and II have taken a large number of  steps to ensure the overall development, in all spheres of the people of our country and the State.
He made special reference of the liberal funding of Centrally sponsored schemes for development of rural and border areas of the State. The schemes like BADP, MNREGA and IAY have ushered a new era of development, in the border constituencies of our State and further added that the Suchetgarh assembly constituency have been equally benefited by these Centrally sponsored schemes.
He said that the creation of new Administrative Units in the state is a land mark decision of the Coalition Government and congratulated the Cabinet Sub Committee (CSC) and the State Government for grant of tehsil  status and separate rural development block (CD Block), which was a long  pending demand of the people of our area. The separate CD block will provide this border constituency a stronger platform of the development of its rural areas. Mr. Chib said that, he was fighting for this demand for last more than two decades.
He praised Madan Lal Sharma, for his grass root approach towards the people and have a very long experience of solving the problems of commonman. He said that the people should vote for Congress candidate for the unity and integrity of our country and also to have overall development in their area.
