JAMMU, Mar 31: A debate competition was organized at Calliope College of Education, Doomi on the topic “Newspaper are the things of Past”.Arun Gupta, Chairman Institute of Public Opinion was the chief guest.
Kajal Manhas, Asstt Prof Education Department of Jammu University, Sunita Pandita, Principal of Calliope College of Education and Anju Kakri, Founder Principal, Calliope School were the jury members.
The programme started with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by welcome address by Pragati Guleria.
Participants presented their relevant and valuable views regarding the topic.
Diksha Sharma got first prize, Sujata Sharma bagged second prize and third prize was shared by Rajni Sharma and Shivangi Rajput. Team of U4U Voice Jammu distributed watches among the winners. Painting Competition awards were also presented to the first and second winners–Ruby Langhey and Shivangi Rajput.
Arun K Gupta gave his valuable suggestions to the students.
Certificates of participation were distributed among all the participants.
Manish Suri, Chairman of Calliope Group of Institution presented the mementoes to the chief guest and guests of honour.
At last, vote of thanks was given by Tania Gaur, a student of Calliope College of Education.
