2-day Border Mela concludes

JAMMU, Mar 31: The two day Border Mela, organized by Directorate of Tourism Jammu, concluded here today with an overwhelming participation of visitors from various parts of the State and outside.
The mega event had a variety of cultural programmes depicting the rich cultural heritage of Jammu and Kashmir besides departmental stalls of various departments, joyrides for the children and food stalls serving the Dogra cuisine were the other attractions of the mela.
Kuldeep Wahi, President Hotel & Restaurant Jammu, was the chief guest on the occasion.
While speaking on the occasion, Wahi complemented Tourism Department for organizing these kinds of fare and festivals to attract more and more tourists visiting the State.
Earlier, Director Tourism Jammu, Soujanya Sharma, expressed gratitude to the people for ensure maximum participation in the mela.
Vote of thanks was presented by Devinder Choudhary, President Taxi Union Jammu.
Among other present on the occasion were Dy Director Tourism, Kewal Krishan, Ravi Mahajan, Chairman Praytan Vikas Mendal Jammu, T R Sharma, former Special Secretary, officers of BSF and prominent citizens.
