HPS students bring laurels

JAMMU, Apr 1: The students of Humanity Public School (HPS), Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana brought laurels to the school by winning first and third positions in the “Awareness Camp on Road Safety” organised by the Range Police Jammu under Civic Action Programme at Bari Brahmana.
DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range, Shakeel Ahmed Beig was the chief guest on the occasion, while Ravi Kant Sharma, SP, Traffic Rural Jammu, Rajnesh Pran, SP, Staff Officer to DIG Jammu, Suram Singh, Additional SP Samba, Parshotam Lal Sharma, DDP Range Police Headquarters, Sahajad Salaria, SDPO, Bari Brahmana and Prashant Mahajan, Chief Prosecuting Officer RPHQ Jammu were also present.
Around 35 students of various institutions participated in the competition, wherein Aditya Yadav of Humanity Public School of 7th class won the first position and a cash prize of Rs1000 was presented to him. Anuradha of 9th Class secured third position and was awarded with a cash prize of Rs 300. Tania and Sumita of 10th class, Vaishali of 9th class, Shewani Manhas and Itika Atri of 7th class received cash prize of Rs 100 each for participation.
Gaurav Charak, Principal of the school along with Anku Charak, Vice Principal felicitated the meritorious students on the occasion and lauded the efforts of Sandeep Zutshi, Amita Chowdhary, Barkha Tripathi and Shewani Charak for guiding the students.
