Woman killed, five injured in road accidents

JAMMU, Apr 3: A woman was killed while five others were in road accidents at different locations.
As per reports, a woman namely Maya Devi, wife of Bajrang Lal of Suketar was seriously injured, when the car she was travelling in collided with a tanker near Sukater area, falling under the jurisdiction of Jajjhar Kotli police station.
She was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors pronounced her as brought dead.
The body has been handed over to family members for last rites after completing legal formalities.
In another incident, two persons namely Deepak Choudhary, son of Garg Ram and Mohan Lal, son of Sham Lal, both residents of RS Pura received injured when the motorcycle they were riding on collided with a car near Jammu Airport, falling under the jurisdiction of Satwari police station.
The injured were rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where their condition was stated to be stable, when last reports came in.
Meanwhile, a youth identified as Sonu Jamwal of Bantalab was injured in motorcycle-scooter collision near Janipur, whereas Nasib, son of Mohammad Din and Babbi, son of mohAn Lal, both residents of Pargwal, tehsil Akhnoor were injured after being hit by a car near Pargwal.
The trio injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where they were responding to the treatment, when last reports came in.
Cases under relevant Sections stands registered at concerned police stations and investigation started.
