SRINAGAR, Apr 3: National Conference candidate for South Kashmir Parliamentary constituency, Dr Mehboob Beg, and his spouse have assets worth Rs 1.11 crore, reveals the Affidavit filed before Election Commission by Beg.
Beg has shown his total immovable assets, including cash, bank deposit, two vehicles, Maruti Esteem and Renault Duster, amount to Rs. 22.10 lakh, while his wife has total immovable assets, including Scorpio car, 800 grams of gold amounting to Rs. 30 lakh.
The NC candidate has also shown that he has one third of a disputed ancestral property at Sarnal in Anantnag district. Beg has a residential house in Humhama, Budgam, on 25 marlas of land purchased in 2004 at Rs. 20 lakh, whose present value is Rs. 30 lakh.
In addition, he has a residential house in Trikuta Nagar in Jammu on 12 marlas of land, purchased at Rs. 15 lakh with present value of Rs 25 lakh.
The Bhartiya Janata Party candidate Mushtaq Ahmad Malik has shown total property assets worth 3.15 lakh. Malik has shown his bank deposit at Rs. 10,000, his wife Rs 5,000. In addition he has Rs. 2 lakh cash in hand while his wife has Rs. 1 lakh cash.
