JAMMU, July 29: The J&K Sports Council organized a Tug of War competition at Green Field, Jammu, under the patronage of Secretary J&K Sports Council (JKSC), Nuzhat Gul.
The event saw the presence of prominent guests including Ranjeet Kalra (Member, Sports Council) as the chief guest, Mohd Hanief (Chief Sports Officer, JKSC), Baljinderpal Singh (Divisional Sports Officer, JKSC) and Kirpali Patel (Arjuna Awardee).
Around 80 participants competed in the Tug of War event. The competition was conducted under the supervision of Chief Basketball Coach Sushma Jamwal, along with Dalvinder Singh, Jagjeet Singh and Rachna Jamwal. The matches were officiated by Gourav Dubey and Jasvinder Singh.
The chief guest interacted with the players, encouraging them to take part in future events and commending the J&K Sports Council’s initiative to channel the energy of youth into sports activities under the ‘My Youth My Pride’ program.
President of the Tug of War Association, Hardeep Singh Anand, provided technical support for the smooth conduct of the competition.
