JAMMU, July 31: Rich Harvest School (RHS) Bari Brahmana hosted the Sahodaya Inter School Painting Competition under the aegis of the Sahodaya Schools Complex here today. The event attracted budding artists from over 35 reputed CBSE schools, who showcased their creativity on canvas. The jury, consisting of renowned J&K artists K K Gandhi, Mahesh Kumar Sharma, and Vikas Dogra, faced a challenging task in selecting the winners due to the high caliber of entries.
The competition was graced by chief guest Gulchain Singh Charak, former Minister of R&B and Higher Education, along with other distinguished guests, including Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Managing Director of RHS, Ruchi Charak, and Dr. Vikesh Kour, President of Sahodaya Schools Complex. Anita Bhatia, Head of the Institute, extended a warm welcome to all attendees.
During the prize distribution ceremony, RHS scholars entertained guests with vibrant song and dance performances. Maliha Fatima of IDPS won the first prize, followed by Anuva Sharma of Heritage School in second place. Samaksh Gupta of SNS Vidya Mandir secured third place, while consolation prizes were awarded to Aliza Choudhary of RHS, Sanskriti Sisodiya of APS Kaluchak, and Ravi Ranjan Kumar of Chinar Primary School Nagrota. The event highlighted the incredible talent of young artists in the region.
