GCW Parade organises intra-college National Anthem singing competition

JAMMU, Aug 5: In the series of celebrations of Independence Day, 2024, the Government College for Women (GCW) Parade, Jammu, today organised a special intra college National Anthem singing competition titled “Mile Sur Mera Tumhara.”
Principal of the College, Dr. Ravinder Kumar Tickoo was the chief on the occasion. Wherein, the panel of judges was comprised of Dr. Axa Roy, Dr. Samta Sharma and Dr. Parveen.
The students showcased their patriotic fervor and musical talents through their renditions of the National Anthem.
The Principal in his address paid tribute to the freedom fighters, who fought for India’s independence and encouraged the students to embody the same spirit of patriotism and dedication.
1st prize was bagged by Ritisha Manhas and Netra Tickoo, second prize by Simran Gurtoo and Shriya Gurtoo while the 3rd Prize was won by Kritika and Simran.
Dr. Jasmeet Kaur, the Convener of the College Cultural Committee, expressed gratitude to all participants, judges and attendees in the vote of thanks.
