Court asks Govt to reserve 7 TRTs for petitioners

JAMMU, Apr 6: The State High Court has issued directions to State Government and Relief Organisation to keep seven Two Room Tenements (TRTs) reserved at Jagti for seven petitioners.  The petitioners have challenged the recent allotment of quarters on the ground that respondents have not adhered to the guidelines/directions issued by the Court.
The directives were issued by Justice Tashi Rabstan in a petition of Beta Ji, son of Late Krishan Dass of Dinna Nagar Udhampur and others against State through Chief Secretary and Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner Jammu.
The Court, while disposing off the writ petition, directed to the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioners for allotment of two room tenements at Jagti township, Nagrota Jammu strictly as per the directions passed by this court in various petitions being lead case OWP NO 1149/2012 decided on 05.06.2013 and pass consideration order within a period of three weeks from the date of a copy of this order is made available to respondents.
The petitioners were represented by K L Pandita senior advocate J&K High Court.
