JAMMU, Apr 7: The Administrative Committee for management and development of Shri Rama Krishna Mahasamelan Ashram and Vivekananda Kendra Nagdandi Achabal, Anantnag, Kashmir called on former Chief Secretary and MLC Vijay Bakaya and discussed various issues regarding the development of the Ashram with him.
The delegation was led by B L Bhat chairman of the Committee and its other members included R L Teng, Ramesh Koul, Roshan Lal Raina, Jai Krishan Razdhan, K M Qazi and Satish Bhat.
The delegation, while complimenting Mr Bakaya for sanctioning Rs 6.38 lakh for completion of the lavatory block in Vivekananda Ashram apprised him about the aims and objectives of the Committee.
They informed Mr Bakaya that the Committee was framed as per resolution passed on April 28 last year by Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari and since then it has assumed the charge of the Kendra.
They said the Ashram is in the middle of development phase and various activities have been taken up for its development which include formulation of Ashram operational plan, organizing of festivals/Yoga Shivars and group meets, provision of drinking water under new schemes etc.
