PFI holds Core Committee meet

JAMMU, Aug 10: The Pickleball Federation of India (PFI) held a virtual Core Committee meeting today, where significant decisions and new leadership appointments were announced. The highlight of the meeting was the finalization of dates for the National Pickleball Tournament, set to take place in Jaipur, Rajasthan, from November 15 to 17, 2024. This highly anticipated event will attract participants from across the country.
In preparation for the tournament, PFI, in collaboration with the J&K Pickleball Association, will host a two-day technical workshop and clinic in Jammu in September 2024. States can send 2-4 participants, with at least one female player preferred, to enhance their skills ahead of the national event.
The committee also established financial details, setting the annual state affiliation fee at Rs 10,000 and a national tournament fee of Rs 1,000 per player. States must complete their registration or renewal before the Jaipur tournament.
Additionally, three new members Raghuraj Singh, Sunil Dang, and Manish Gogaia were proposed for the National Committee. The new Core Executive Committee for 2024-2028 was also formed, with Karan Singh (Rajasthan) as President and Ranjeet Chib (J&K) as Senior Vice President. The meeting ended with a strong commitment to promoting and advancing Pickleball in India.
