JAMMU, Aug 12: Army Public School Nagrota held a programme, marking a significant event in the school’s academic calendar. The event, held at the school premises, was graced by Brigadier Anurag Tyagi as the chief guest and Colonel SK Sharma as the guest of honour.
The ceremony was meticulously organized into two main segments. The first segment focused on the conferring of badges to the newly elected members of the student council, including Captains, Vice Captains, Head Boy, Head Girl, and various Club Secretaries. These appointments signify a year of dedicated leadership and service within the school community.
The second segment celebrated the academic achievements of the school’s meritorious students. Scholarships were awarded to top performers from the 10th and 12th grade board examinations for the academic session 2023-24, recognizing their outstanding accomplishments and hard work.
The programme commenced with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony, followed by a warm welcome address from Principal of APS Nagrota Ruchi Bahl. She highlighted the significance of the ceremony and achievements of students. Brigadier Anurag Tyagi extended his congratulations to both the newly appointed council members and the scholarship recipients. He praised their dedication and excellence, encouraging them to continue striving for success. The event also featured the unveiling of the latest edition of the annual school magazine by Brigadier Tyagi, showcasing the year’s highlights and student contributions.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Vice Principal of the school Avinash Mahajan, who expressed gratitude to all attendees and participants for their support and enthusiasm.
