JAMMU, Apr 9: The residents of Deval in Mahore tehsil of Reasi district today accused the successive Governments of neglecting the area in all spheres of development.
Nazir Ahmed Badhrey Sarpanch, Panchayat halqa Badder said every time during elections the promises are made by political parties with the people but after coming to power they are never kept despite the fact that the people of the area always supported the Government.
He said the villages of Sidol Kewad, Laar, Barshalla, Gulabgarh, Kandoora, Deval, Dogahanooch, Badder, Ladoo etc san basic amenities of life. These village lack roads, have no power and water supply or health care facilities, he added.
He said a road under construction in Bagah Gulabgarh for last 20 years under PMGSY has not been completed till date.
He demanded opening of tehsil headquarter at central place in the area with, block office, police Post, Educational Zonal office etc for its development.
In an appeal to Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, Mr Ahmed has sought his immediate intervention in the matter.
