APS Akhnoor celebrates 50th Anniversary

JAMMU, Aug 22: Army Public School Akhnoor celebrated its 50th anniversary with a grand time capsule ceremony, marking the beginning of its Golden Jubilee celebrations. The event, attended by students, faculty, and distinguished guests, featured the chief guest, the GOC, 10 RAPID, Patron of APS Akhnoor. Highlights included the traditional lighting of the lamp, unveiling of a commemorative 50-year logo, and the launch of the school magazine, Chenab Cascade.
Students performed a welcome song and cultural dance, adding vibrancy to the occasion. Principal Geeta Devi reflected on the school’s legacy, emphasizing its tradition of excellence and encouraging the community to strive for future milestones. The chief guest praised APS Akhnoor for its academic and leadership contributions, expressing confidence in its continued success.
The Chairman also recognized the achievements of alumni and the school’s progress. Vice Principal Dr. Rakesh Chandar delivered a vote of thanks, underscoring the significance of unity as the school embarks on its Golden Jubilee. The ceremony concluded with the sealing of a time capsule to be opened in 10 years, symbolizing the start of a new chapter in the school’s history.
