JAMMU, Sept 1: Right-handed top-order batsman Aarav Mahajan has been selected to represent the USN Indians in the upcoming Uttarakhand Premier League (UPL), which begins on September 15, 2024.
Aarav’s selection comes on the back of his impressive performances in the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) domestic circuit. He has been a prolific run-scorer for Uttarakhand, amassing 455 runs in four matches of the Cooch Behar U-19 Men’s Trophy 2023-24, with an average of 65 and a strike rate of 69.09, including 54 fours and 7 sixes.
In the previous season’s Vinod Mankad Trophy, Aarav scored 287 runs in five matches, boasting an average of 67.40 and a strike rate of 101.77, with 22 fours and 11 sixes.
Despite an injury that caused him to miss some matches in the Cooch Behar Trophy, Aarav’s talent has not gone unnoticed. He has also been a part of the National Cricket Academy (NCA) probables for the U-19 Indian Cricket team and had the honour of captaining one of the teams during NCA matches. Aarav’s selection for the UPL marks another significant milestone in his burgeoning cricket career.
