RAJOURI, Sept 2: The Department of Youth Services & Sports District Rajouri has organized the Inter-District Divisional Level tournament for Under-14 Volleyball Boys at the Mini Stadium Sports Complex, here today.
The tournament, which runs from September 2 to 3 features participation from nine districts in the Jammu Division, with a total of 99 students/players and 13 in-charge contingents.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by the chief guest, Additional District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Raj Kumar Thapa, who officially declared the tournament open. He was joined by DYSSO Rajouri, Sukhdev Raj Sharma. In his address, Thapa encouraged all participants to engage regularly in sports alongside their education, highlighting the importance of physical and mental health. The morning session results were Ramban defeated Doda by 3-0 in sets and Kathua defeated Udhampur by 3-0 sets.
