JAMMU, Sept 4: Army Public School Damana hosted a programme for the academic session 2024-25 today. This formal event marked the induction of the newly elected members of the School Council, who were officially vested with their roles and responsibilities. The ceremony, held in the school premises, featured the traditional bestowing of sashes by Principal Pushpinder Kaur.
The newly appointed Senior Head Boy and Head Girl are Kartik Kumar (XII B) and Pragati Sharma (XII D), respectively. Hitansh Rajput (V D) and Gaura Singh (V D) assume the roles of Junior Head Boy and Head Girl. Other significant appointments include Neeyati Sharma (XII D) and Hanshit Manhas (V A) as Senior and Junior Discipline In-Charges, Smily Kumari (XII B) and Divyanshi (V B) as Co-curricular In-Charges, and Suhani Manhas (XII B) and Ayansh Sharma (V C) as Sports In-Charges. The ceremony also recognized house captains, vice-captains, and prefects for Amartya Kumar Sen House, Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman House, Dr. Hargobind Khorana House, and Rabindranath Tagore House.
The event concluded with the felicitation of students excelling in Olympiads and inter-school competitions. Principal Pushpinder Kaur congratulated the new council members, urging them to uphold the school’s values and strive for excellence.
