POONCH, Apr 15: Glamorous Cricket Club Poonch defeated Zaffer Cricket Club by 5 wickets to seal berth in the semifinals of the Police T20 Cricket Tournament at Degree College ground, here today.
Earlier, put into bat, Zaffer Club bundled out for a modest score of 107 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Wahied and Imran were the main contributors with 29-ball 25 and 15-ball 20 runs respectively. For Glamorous Club, Imran was the wrecker-in-chief, who scalped 5 important wickets by conceding 15 runs in his 3 overs.
In reply, Glamorous Club scored the required runs by losing 5 wickets, thus won the match by 5 wickets. Sunit and Mannu scored 15-ball 25 and 13-ball 18 runs respectively.
Jatinder Singh Tandan was the chief guest on the occasion.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Tariq Khan, Javied Ahmed, Prince, Joginder Singh, Damanpreet Singh and Kawal Krishan.
