KARGIL, Sept 6: The two-day Intramural Sports event at GDC Zanskar concluded with spirited participation from students. The competition, organized by the Department of Physical Education and Sports, featured a range of track and field events, including 100 Meter, 200 Meter, Shot Put, Javelin Throw, and Discus Throw for both men and women.
Highlights of the event included impressive performances in Shot Put, Discus Throw, and Javelin Throw across various categories. In the sprints, Jigmet Akar excelled in the 100 Meter and 200 Meter races, while Tsewang Lahmo and Stanzin Zomskit emerged as top performers in the women’s sprints.
The event saw numerous students demonstrating outstanding athletic abilities, with awards and prizes presented to the top performers in each category. Dr. Abid Hussain, the Officiating Principal, commended the students for their enthusiasm and competitive spirit. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Jamphel Sheyan, celebrating the successful execution and participation of the college community.
