POONCH, Sept 16: The Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Poonch, organized a district-level trial and selection event for U-19 boys in cricket. Held at the Sports Stadium Poonch, the trials saw participation from students across all 11 zones of the district.
The event was conducted under the supervision of Mool Raj Uttam, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Poonch. To ensure a transparent and impartial selection process, a committee was formed.
Pawan Kumar, Physical Education Lecturer, was appointed as the convener of the selection committee. Other committee members included Rajendra Singh Toofan (PET), Vijay Sharma (PEM), Iftekhar Ahmed (PET), Jogander Singh (PET), Gurvinder Singh (PET), Pervaiz Ahmed Malik (REK), Imran Khan (REK), and Syed Talit Waseem (REK). The trials aimed to identify talented young cricketers from the district and provide them with opportunities to advance in the sport.
