JAMMU, Sept 18: Senior Professor of Surgery in GMC Jammu, Dr Sanjay Kumar Bhasin has been elected as Governing Council Member of the prestigious Association of Surgeons of India (ASI).
Association of Surgeons of India is first largest surgical academic body of Asia- Pacific and second largest of the world with more than 40000 surgeons as its members from across India and world. Seventy- member Governing Council is the highest decision making body of Surgeons with representatives from all the States of the country.
Dr Bhasin is Founder Member of the J&K State Chapter of the ASI (JAKASI) and has served as active member of JAKASI at various positions like, Executive Member, Joint Secretary, Honorary Secretary and Chairman/President JAKASI. He remained active organizer of various surgical events of the association at national & State level since last more than a decade.
He has been bestowed upon with many prestigious orations by surgical bodies. He has published more than three dozen papers in national & international journals besides presenting more than hundred guest lectures in national conferences.
