JAMMU, Sept 18: A delegation of All India Migrant Camps Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) led by its president, Desh Rattan called on Chief Secretary, Atal Dulloo and highlighted the various issues being faced by displaced Pandits before him.
The delegation demanded minority status for Kashmiri Pandits, separate budget for community, release of balance ex-gratia, enhancement of cash relief, political empowerment of the community, restoration of encroached land of migrants and their religious places in Kashmir, implementation of PM Kissan Nidhi Yojna on migrants, creation of new job avenues for community by providing one job to one family, giving benefit of all Government schemes to displaced people, launching of scholarship schemes for KPs, construction of residential colonies at Jammu and healing touch policy for community.
The delegation also demanded stern action against those who have either encroached or sold the land of Hindu shrines and temples in Kashmir, digging of bore wells at Jagti for supply of clean drinking water, establishing of Minority Welfare Board for KPs, representation in Amarnath Shrine Board, release of sugar and flour to migrants etc.
The other members of the delegation were Bal Krishan Raina chairman AIMCCC, P N Jalali, Jawahar Lal Raina, Ramesh Tickoo, Kulwant Singh Bali, Sagar Koul, and Yogesh Chib.
