Srinagar, Apr 19: Asserting that National Conference (NC) has ushered an era of peace, progress and development besides ensuring democratic decentralisation of powers, senior National Conference leader and Minister for Rural Development and Panchayats, Ali Mohammad Sagar today said that PDP in a state of despair and desperation is trying to mislead the people by spreading false propaganda for their ulterior motives.
Mr. Sagar was addressing public gatherings at different places in old city, Srinagar, which was attended by other prominent persons from different fields of life besides, prominent persons and leaders of the party.
Reacting to the statement of the PDP leaders, Mr sagar said “people are well aware that thousands of NC workers have been killed by forces inimical to peace and prosperity and inspite of facing threats our party has tirelessly been working for the welfare and betterment of people, despite the malicious and provocative propaganda unleashed by the PDP”.
Referring to the statements of the PDP viz a viz the K issue, Mr Sagar said that the party is a group of political opportunists who keep on changing their colours like chameleons’ to suit their interests as they have never ever raised the issue while in power, whereas NC has always advocated for the peaceful resolution of the same. He said that the PDP is trying to hoodwink the people by telling tales and spreading falsehood but the people are well aware of their political mechanizations and would ensure their defeat in the coming elections.
Registering the achievements registered by the Government in various spheres of life, Mr. Sagar said that growing popularity of the present government has induced sense desperation and frustration in the cadres of a particular political party.
