Udhampur wins U-17 Boys Kho-Kho tourney

KATHUA, Sept 23: The inter-district U-17 boys Kho-Kho tournament concluded today in Kathua, with Udhampur clinching the winner’s trophy after a thrilling match against Jammu. Both teams finished regulation time tied at 12 points, leading to a sudden death round where Udhampur triumphed by just one point.
In the third-place match, Poonch narrowly defeated Ramban by one point. The trophy presentation was led by Sunil Singh Sambyal, District Youth Services and Sports Officer of Kathua, who awarded the winner’s trophy to Udhampur, while Jammu and Ramban received the runner-up and third-place trophies, respectively.
The tournament was organized under the guidance of Rajinder Singh Tara, Director General of Youth Services and Sports for Jammu and Kashmir, with support from Ved Prakash, Joint Director of Youth Services and Sports. The closing ceremony was attended by officials, including Dharminder Singh Shelly and Kamal Kumar Sharma.
