JAMMU, Sept 23: The Jammu and Kashmir Dodgeball team is set to showcase their talent at the 3rd Sub-Junior National Dodgeball Championship from September 27 to 29 taking place at the Lawspet Multiple Indoor Stadium in Pondicherry. This championship marks a significant opportunity for young athletes to demonstrate their skills and teamwork on a national platform.
Vikrant Dogra, President of the J&K Dodgeball Association, expressed his pride in the dedication and hard work of the boys’ and girls’ teams. “We wish our talented young athletes the very best of luck as they compete in Pondicherry,” he stated. He also extended his gratitude to Oneness Sports Health and Wellbeing Cooperative Ltd for their vital support in preparing the teams for this championship.
The boys’ team comprises Gorian Singh, Vidyuth Raina, Imran Rahi, Vinayak Verma, Bilal Ahmed, Ronik Slathia, Abhinav Singh, Nihar Puri, Aniket Soni, Harshit, Predhum, and Aditya Markendey. They are guided by Coach Shubam Kumar and managed by Kesav Roul. The girls’ team includes Riya, Kavya Gupta, Navya, Sonakshi Kichloo, Prakriti, Deewanshi, Rishika, and Poonam, under the coaching of Vishali Sharma and management of Rashmi Gupta.
The event will feature a variety of teams from across the country, making it a competitive arena for the Jammu and Kashmir athletes. Ajay Choudhary from KC Group of Industries attended the event as the chief guest, underscoring the support and encouragement from local organizations.
